Worthington, MN — Angela Kennecke spoke to Worthington middle and high school students on Wednesday, October 18th, about the opioid crisis and drug abuse.
Kennecke’s advocacy for speaking out against the opioid crisis is a cause very personal to her. On May 16, 2018, her 21-year-old daughter, Emily, died from fentanyl poisoning.
“That’s why I called it Emily’s Hope. Because hope doesn’t stop. And you are helping me keep Emily’s hope alive today by hearing her story,” she said while speaking to students.
