Casey Wonnenberg-King produces the Emily’s Hope podcast Grieving Out Loud and also writes our Headline news stories about topics surrounding substance use disorder and the nation’s deadly drug epidemic.
Before joining Emily’s Hope, Casey worked with Emily’s Hope President & CEO Angela Kennecke at KELOLAND Media Group as a news reporter and anchor for ten years. She also spent four years at WDAZ-TV in North Dakota. Casey graduated summa cum laude from South Dakota State University with a major in broadcast journalism.
In her spare time, Casey enjoys reading, gardening, and hanging out with her husband and two daughters. As a mom herself, Casey understands the importance of educating the next generation about substance use disorder and the risks associated with alcohol and drugs, particularly in light of the presence of fentanyl in the drug supply.
