Patricia Drewes, a devoted mother, tragically lost her only child, Heaven Leigh, to fentanyl poisoning on January 28th, 2019, when Heaven was just 24 years old. Today, Patricia is lovingly raising her grandson, who is now seven years old. In response to her heart-wrenching experience, Patricia took the initiative to establish the “Forgotten Victims of North Carolina” group. This organization has since expanded to encompass six chapters across the state. Their collective mission is to provide mutual support and advocate for meaningful change. Patricia is dedicated to ensuring that grieving parents find solace in the knowledge that they are not alone and that every child’s life holds profound significance.
