‘Pawn Stars’ family member, Adam Harrison, dead at 39 from suspected overdose

LAS VEGAS – Adam Harrison, 39, the son of “Pawn Stars” celebrity Richard “Rick” Harrison, died Friday in Las Vegas, a representative of the Harrison family confirmed on Saturday to the Associated Press. The cause of death is suspected to be a drug overdose, as stated by family spokesperson Laura Herlovich.

The family released a statement expressing their deep sorrow over Adam’s death and requested privacy during their time of grief. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that local police are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death, a detail first brought to light by TMZ.

Herlovich disclosed that she was unaware of the specific location or the substance involved in Harrison’s suspected overdose. Adam Harrison did not appear on the “Pawn Stars” television series. The show, which began airing in 2009 on the History Channel, focuses on the personal and professional dynamics within a family-owned pawn shop on Las Vegas Boulevard and features Richard Harrison’s oldest son, Corey Harrison.

Both Richard and Corey Harrison have shared brief tributes to Adam on their Instagram accounts. The show gained popularity for its portrayal of family patriarch Richard Harrison, known as “The Old Man,” who died in June 2018 at the age of 77.
