MAT/MOUD Provider Training & Resources
The following information is for providers. If you’re a patient or loved one, we encourage you to watch Megan’s Story of Recovery with Medication-Assisted Treatment. You can find MAT/MOUD providers here.
Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), also known as Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), is an evidence-based approach that combines FDA-approved medications with counseling and behavioral therapies to treat opioid use disorder. MOUD/MAT reduces withdrawal symptoms, decreases cravings, and helps prevent relapse, allowing individuals to focus on recovery and improving their overall quality of life. Common medications used include methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
