Art, automobiles behind nonprofit’s event

This Wednesday, wheels old and new will line a Sioux Falls car dealership lot for the Emily’s Hope Cruise Night.

“We’re expecting a couple hundred or more. Hopefully the weather holds out and we’ll get a really good turnout,” Emily’s Hope founder Angela Kennecke said.

In addition to the rows of cars, visitors can look forward to a $5 meal and music performances by Mogen’s Heroes.

“We’ll move our inventory to one side of the lot and wall off an area for the hot rods, for the cool cars. We have the band set up on the side, so there’s tables, chairs,” Autoland owner Brad Dumdie said. “We’re actually doing a kids coloring contest inside the showroom this year, which is new.”
