Attorney General, non-profit to distribute more Naloxone

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The Attorney General’s Office is teaming up with a non-profit to make South Dakota safer.

The announcement on Friday includes plans to distribute Naloxone, an antidote to opioid and fentanyl overdoses.

For the person who takes too much of an opioid or fentanyl, having naloxone on hand can save their life.

“Our goal is to have one of these kits in every house in every business. By every AED possible,” said Angela Kennecke, founder of Emily’s Hope.

Kennecke described why this is her passion. It’s in memory of her daughter and the namesake for the non-profit Emily’s Hope.
