Emily’s Hope announces upcoming art exhibit honoring those lost to substance abuse

Emily’s Hope has announced that submissions are open for its upcoming INTO LIGHT Project: Drug Addiction: Real People, Real Stories – South Dakota.

The exhibit, made in partnership with the South Dakota Art Museum, aims to put a human face to substance abuse disorder by allowing community members from across South Dakota who have lost a loved one to substance use disorder to share that loved one’s story and image through hand-drawn graphite portraits and personal narratives.

The exhibition is limited to 30 submissions and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from August 1, 2026, to November 1, 2026, or until all spots are filled.
