If you’re looking for a way to spend your Saturday night, a family-friendly event in Tea is highlighting a cause that supports ending the stigma around substance use disorder.
The Emily’s Hope Family Fun Night and Fireworkz Show is back for its 8th year this weekend.
This year, organizers have added new activities for families, all while continuing a tradition that raises awareness about the nonprofit’s mission.
“This year we’ve expanded to include inflatables, games and food trucks for the families,” Emily’s Hope founder Angela Kennecke said.
The event is happening at the Tea Athletic Complex from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday night. Toward the end of the night, the skies above will light up with fireworks.
“There’ll be some single fireworks going off for roughly a half an hour, and then we’ll do a, I believe, it’s a ten minute show that is set to music, and that’s going to start right around 9:30,” EpicSky Displays co-owner Eric Blank said.
