
{KXLG – Watertown, SD} In response to a concerning rise in suspected fentanyl-related overdoses in the community, Emily’s Hope, a non-profit organization dedicated to combating the stigma of substance use disorder and saving lives, has partnered with Prairie Lakes Healthcare System (PLHS) to install a publicly accessible Naloxone (Narcan) rescue box. The installation took place today, May 22nd, at the Emergency Department entrance of PLHS.
This initiative aims to provide 24/7 access to the life-saving opioid-reversal medication, empowering community members to act swiftly in the event of an overdose.
