Kennecke, a former KELO-TV news anchor, founded “Emily’s Hope” shortly after her daughter’s 2018 death from fentanyl poisoning. The Sioux Falls non-profit organization’s goals include greater access to naloxone (Narcan®) as an antidote to opioid overdoses, such as from pain pills or heroin.
