Thomas Emily's Hope Headshots

Meet Thomas DeCoteau Jr., is a dedicated Peer Support Specialist at Emily’s Hope. Hailing from the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate, Thomas cherishes his Dakota heritage and strives to create a safe space for Native individuals to embrace their identities and heal. Fluent in the Dakota language and drawing from his own journey of recovery from alcoholism, Thomas is committed to supporting his community in Sioux Falls. With a passion for passing on traditional values and the compassion instilled by his upbringing, Thomas welcomes all to his office for a cup of coffee and a conversation.
