Michael Geheren

Digital Operations Volunteer

Meet Michael Geheren, the digital dynamo behind Emily’s Hope, where he lends his considerable skills to our digital operations. Michael’s journey with Emily’s Hope has been intertwined with its very roots; he was there from the start, forging a connection with our President & CEO, Angela Kennecke, during their time together at KELOLAND Media Group, where he worked as an investigative and 5 p.m. producer.

A graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University, Michael has since taken his talents to a leading web development and design agency, where he continues to hone his craft and push the boundaries of digital innovation.

But Michael’s heart has always remained in Sioux Falls, and after several years of living in Chicago, he’s returned to his roots, bringing with him a renewed commitment to the cause that’s close to his heart. Michael’s connection to Emily’s Hope is deeply personal; it’s a mission that resonates with him on multiple levels, shaped by family experiences and knowing Emily personally.

Passionate, skilled, and driven by a desire to make a difference, Michael is a vital part of our team, helping to amplify our message and bring the crucial work of Emily’s Hope to a wider audience.
