SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – January 21, 2026 – Emily’s Hope will host its annual Art Show and Auction on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Canopy by Hilton Sioux Falls Downtown. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. This signature event brings together art, community, and purpose in support of Emily’s Hope’s mission to stop stigma and save lives.
The evening honors the life and creative spirit of Emily Groth, a talented young artist whose life was tragically cut short by fentanyl poisoning in 2018. Emily’s artwork continues to inspire the heart of this event, and her artwork will be featured alongside original works donated by local and regional artists. The live and silent auctions will showcase a wide range of artwork and unique packages generously contributed by artists and community partners. Featured artists include Josh Spies, Brad Kringen, Paul Schiller, Quint Ford, Jim Sturdevant, Jenny Braig, and many others.
This year’s Art Show and Auction carries the theme Beauty from Ashes, inspired by Emily’s painting Incongruous. The theme reflects the organization’s commitment to transforming loss and tragedy into hope, healing, and meaningful action. Guests will enjoy an inspiring evening featuring art production, live music, a seated dinner, and a powerful program highlighting the impact of Emily’s Hope.
The event also shines a light on the ongoing overdose and fentanyl poisoning crisis affecting families and communities across the country. Emily’s Hope continues to respond through growing programs and initiatives, including treatment scholarships, free naloxone distribution, K-12 substance use prevention education, and community outreach efforts designed to save lives and reduce stigma.
Proceeds from the Art Show and Auction directly support Emily’s Hope, helping ensure that individuals and families have access to life-saving resources and support. Supporters can bid on the silent auction from anywhere by visiting emilyshope.charity.
