Emily’s Hope Annual Art Show and Auction Returns to Downtown Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls, SD – January 25, 2025 – Emily’s Hope is proud to announce its annual Art Show and Auction, taking place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the new Canopy by Hilton Sioux Falls Downtown. Doors open at 5:30 PM. This year’s event highlights the life and legacy of Emily Groth, a talented young artist who tragically lost her life at age 21 to fentanyl poisoning. Emily’s original artwork will be on display. The live and silent auctions include works from renowned artists, including Josh Spies, Steve Bormes, Jenny Braig, Paul Schiller, Brad Kringen, Kirby Schultz, and many others.

The evening promises an inspiring celebration of creativity and hope, while shining a light on the devastating toll of the overdose/fentanyl poisoning epidemic. Every six minutes, a life is lost to overdose in the United States—258 lives each day. Fentanyl is now the leading cause of death among young people. To date, Emily’s Hope has distributed nearly 4,000 doses of naloxone across South Dakota and is expanding its free naloxone distribution program to reach even more communities in need. In 2025, Emily’s Hope will also launch several new initiatives through its Youth Substance Prevention Coalition, including a youth art show featuring healthy messaging and parent/caregiver workshops.
