Reminder: Emily’s Hope Parent & Caregiver Workshop on Youth Substance Use Tonight

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.  – November 3, 2025  – The Emily’s Hope Youth Prevention Coalition invites parents and caregivers to attend Not MY Kid: Understanding Youth Substance Use Risks & Prevention tonight, Monday, November 3, from 6:00–8:00 PM at Lincoln High School in the Auditorium.

The free workshop will feature Angela Kennecke, founder of Emily’s Hope, sharing her daughter Emily’s story; a representative from the DEA sharing current drug trends; Tiffany Kashas, Licensed Addiction Counselor and Certified Prevention Specialist; and Artica Franklin, a young adult with lived experience. The evening will conclude with a panel discussion and Q&A.

Topics include alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, methamphetamines, fentanyl, and other substances. Attendees will gain practical tools to strengthen family conversations and protect their teens.
