OAKLAND, Calif. – Angus Cloud, best known for his standout role as Fezco “Fez” O’Neil on the hit HBO series ‘Euphoria,’ died from an accidental multi-drug overdose, according to The Associated Press. The AP reports that the coroner’s office declared Cloud’s cause of death as “acute intoxication” due to the “combined effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and benzodiazepines.”

As Emily’s Hope previously reported, the 25-year-old star died at his parent’s home on July 31 in Oakland. His mother called 911 to report the “possible overdose” and said that her son was unresponsive. Cloud had recently returned home after laying his father to rest in Ireland.

Multi-drug overdoses, particularly those involving stimulants like cocaine and meth with highly potent synthetic opioids like fentanyl, are one of the main culprits in America’s drug crisis. Emily’s Hope recently reported on new research that shows overdoses involving both stimulants and fentanyl have increased 50-fold since 2010. Experts believe that often times people who use drugs recreationally don’t even realize they’re getting a potentially deadly dose of fentanyl.
