SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Sioux Falls is joining what’s expected to be the largest naloxone distribution effort in history. Naloxone, commonly known by the brand name Narcan, can reverse opioid overdoses, making it a critical tool in the fight against the opioid crisis.

On September 26th, Emily’s Hope will distribute free naloxone at Falls Community Health in Sioux Falls as part of Save a Life/Free Naloxone Day. Emily’s Hope has placed the free Narcan box in partnership with the City of Sioux Falls and will keep it stocked with free naloxone kits.

This nationwide event spans more than 300 counties across 30 states, with the majority of efforts focused in the eastern U.S.

In Sioux Falls, Emily’s Hope has also placed free Narcan dispensers at the Jones421 Market and both Tires Tires Tires locations, helping ensure that this life-saving medication is available to those who need it.
