LAS VEGAS – “Pawn Stars” celebrity Rick Harrison says his son died from fentanyl poisoning, according to several news outlets, including The New York Post. As Emily’s Hope reported earlier this week, Adam Harrison, 39, died Friday in Las Vegas.

“Yes, I can confirm Adam died from a fentanyl overdose,” Rick told The Post in a statement. “The fentanyl crisis in this country must be taken more seriously. It seems it is just flowing over the borders and nothing is being done about it. We must do better.”

Adam Harrison did not appear on the “Pawn Stars” television series, which has been a staple on the History Channel since 2009. The show provides a glimpse into the personal and professional dynamics of a family-owned pawn shop and features Richard Harrison’s oldest son, Corey Harrison.

In the wake of this tragic loss, both Richard and Corey have shared poignant tributes to Adam on their Instagram accounts.
